Security Provider for Chapel Renovation

Protectorcomms have been appointed as the security provider for the new Abertillery Library, which is relocating from its existing site to Trinity Chapel based in Abertillery town centre.

Work began in January with completion anticipated by Autumn 2024. Protectorcomms are providing the full package as part of the project. Fire alarms, CCTV systems, access control, intruder alarms and disabled refuge.

Steve Williams, Business Development Manager at Protectorcomms said, “It’s been a fantastic project to be awarded. We have an excellent reputation in Wales and beyond for being reliable and professional. We have been working on the project with Advanced Electrical – one of the many partners we work alongside. Like us, they have a reputation for quality.”

The renovation of Trinity Chapel will house a community space as well as Abertillery Library. The ground floor will house the libraries book stock with the first floor offering an open plan digital space for communal use. The upper floor will be used by Aneurin Leisure adult education which will include a multi-use and digital learning classroom, reception area and a meeting room.

The scheme is a collaboration between Blaenau Gwent Council, Aneurin Leisure Trust, and the Welsh Government. Protectorcomms is working on the project with Advanced Electrical, a south Wales based company offering electrical, mechanical and contracting excellence.

Craig Lewis, Director at Advanced Electrical said, “The Trinity Chapel renovation in Abertillery is a very exciting project. We work with some of the UKs leading companies on their electrical and mechanical needs. Working with such a high calibre customer, we have partnered with Protectorcomms to fulfil the security aspects of the project.”
